* Curriculum *:
LAPS Academic institution works very closely with teachers for a common objective: to improve the
quality of teaching and facilitate learning in every way.
The Academic Department has a vigorous
Professional Development Programme for
teacher training and alternative new support function
initiative is to provide CRP (Curriculum Resource Packs) unit-based Daily Lesson Plans (DLPs) to teachers for the academic session.
DLPs allow teachers to focus on lesson implementation; this helps in improving teaching standards by taking away the daily time and effort put in by the
teachers for the daily lesson planning
DLPs have been structured around the Curriculum Resource Packs (CRPs) subjects and
incorporate
interactive teaching and learning approaches.
Curriculum Resource Packs comprise of a scheme of studies related to a
centralised book list of private and governmet publications. CRPs are developed
for two terms respectively.
The teachers use these CRPs and DLPs to ensure effective teaching and
learning in the classrooms.
CRPs: Advantages and Benefits
• Syllabus sourced from approved text book list
• Term-wise block distribution of work
• Subject-wise timetable and time allocation
• Effective teaching strategies for delivering quality lessons
• Guidelines for lesson planning and preparation.
